What you’ll do

You’ll prepare outstanding food in accordance with planned menus, following quality standards and sanitary regulations all while supervising the cooking staff. We’ll rely on you for timely preparation and delivery, portion control and inventory management, as well as proper maintenance and cleanup in the kitchen. You may also assist with catering and special events. You’ll go the extra mile to get the job done and to make sure that the resident dining experience is second to none!

What it takes

• Associate degree in culinary, hospitality, nutritional services, or a related field required
• ServSafe certification required or willing to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
• Five years’ experience in direct food service operational management required
• Experience in a supervisory capacity in a long-term care facility, hospital, or other related medical facility preferred
• Knowledge of dietary practices/therapy and procedures preferred
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and food and catering trends
• Experience in menu planning and development, food cost control, food purchasing, and inventory control required
• Financial management and budgetary accounting skills required
